Top 5 Wednesday | Books I Need to Read Before 2019

Top 5 Wednesday bookshelf fantasy books

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Samantha and Lainey. You can check out the Goodreads group for more details and discussions!

This week’s prompt was Books You Want to Read Before 2019 – and oh boy, there’s a lot. I’m currently on 38 out of 50 for my Goodreads reading challenge (meaning I have to read 12 books before the end of the year!!) so this felt like a good way to prioritise and help me meet that goal.

1. Feed by Mira Grant

Feed by Mira Grant

I’ve been into everything undead apocalypse this year – TV, movies, podcasts, video games – but I’ve not read any zombie books! The description of this gives me real Zombies, Run! vibes and I’m so obsessed with that story that I can’t wait to dive into this.

2. If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

I borrowed this book with the intention of reading it over Halloween, but… didn’t get very far. I’ve DNF’d both other library books I borrowed this year, so it would be nice to finish at least one!

3. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

I’ve been very slowly making my way through this audiobook ever since the Netflix movie was released, and it would be good to finish them both within the same year.

4. An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

I’ve been looking at this book ever since it released and I’m not sure I can resist that gorgeous artistic cover any longer. I get real autumnal vibes from this one so it’d be good to get to it before winter. Also, it’s nice and short, so should help me boost my Reading Challenge!

5. Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

This is another (short) one I’ve been desperate to get to. I’m in need of something fun and lighthearted, and a bit of pirate action never hurts!

That’s all for this week! This was a fun list to make, and I really hope I’m able to get through all of these and complete my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

How is your Reading Challenge going? Are there any books you’re desperate to get to before the end of 2018?

Talk to me in the comments!
